BRIEF/Objective:
 

TrailheaDX is Salesforce's annual developers conference. This year it was going to be bigger than ever. Doubling the amount of space and increasing attendance by 25%. They had outgrown the previous years' approaches and needed to come at it from a fresh view-point.


Approach/Outcome:

For me and my team, our number one focus was: How do you take 30 individual projects/zones with 21 unique teams/visions, add in a customer sponsor presence and make it feel like it's more than just a collection of stuff.

 

Our organizing principle would be a hike to the summit, The first floor is basecamp where you prepare for your journey and learn what being a Trailblazer means. The second floor was the trail where you get put into action the skills you took away from basecamp. And at the top was the summit, the aspirational setting of the daily keynote speeches.

Bring ecologically responsible was also very important for us. We were designing and building over 10 unique structures for this event and we made sure they were scalable and usable for years to come..
